What is the difference between engineered wood and solid wood?
Engineered wood replicates the same quality as solid hardwood. Engineered wood is made up of multiple layers and is a more stable product. Engineered wood is less affected by changes in temperature and humidity and can be laid in most rooms.
What way do you fit underlay?
Underlay is fitted with the foil side facing the floor so it cannot be seen due it being the damp proof membrane.
How often should I re-oil my oil wood floor?
We recommend your floor is re-oiled every 6-12 months. However, the use of your floor depends on the frequency in which you will have to do this.

Do you need underlay for solid wood flooring?
Solid wood does not require underlay. However, it does need to be glued or secret nailed onto the sub-floor below. Subfloors should be prepared to ensure they are level, dry, and stable before your solid wood installation.
Does Tongue & Groove Flooring Need Glue?
No, tongue & groove flooring does not require glue for installation. This type of flooring is designed to fit together like puzzle pieces, and special tools may be used to help lock them into place. It's important to leave a small gap around the perimeter of the room to allow the floor to expand and contract naturally.
